Telltale Games has done a great job with taking the most murderific series on telly and turning it into a compelling game that most of the family can enjoy. Okay, it’s not for all ages, but the art style does attract a younger audience than it should (so does the TV show, but for different reasons…) but it’s all good fun and still manages to stay connected to the main source without being too confusing.
Each episode in the game series has been released digitally via the Xbox Live Marketplace and the PlayStation Network as well as Steam for PC players. It’s great to have the option to buy a game and have it download and install without ever having to leave the comfort of one’s home, but sometimes it’s just nicer to have a box that can be tucked away neatly amongst the rest on the shelf.
Thankfully, then, we will be getting a physical release of Telltale’s Games of Thrones for the PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PS3 and, according to Best Buy, it’ll be releasing this November 17th. Cripes, November’s looking like a packed month…
If you’re not too fussed about getting your games digitally, the Season Pass digital code is currently $24.99 on Amazon.com – that’s a fiver cheaper than the retail release will sell for.
