30 to 60 in about 4 months time
Ubisoft has announced that The Crew 2 will be getting a big upgrade for next-gen consoles, and it’s one that frame-rate fiends will be happy to hear about.
The official Twitter account for the game has revealed that in July, The Crew 2 will get a boost from 30FPS to 60FPS for PS5 and Xbox Series X. But what about Xbox Series S? The tweet does not mention Microsoft’s budget-friendly next-gen console, so it’s probably going to be just for Xbox Series X and PS5, unfortunately.
The next-gen update will arrive this July along with more tweaks and features to the game, such as the handling modifications to certain cars and weather and colour grading modifications.
There’s no exact date for the next-gen upgrade with the announcement only mentioning it will release in July, so it’s still a while away. If you’ve been put-off from Ubisoft’s open-world racer due to the lack of 60FPS, it might be worth keeping an eye out for cheap copies in your local stores, or seeing if it goes on sale on the PSN/Microsoft Store between now and the summer.
