The Killers’ Mr Brightside Added to Guitar Hero Live; Activision Reveals Top Played Songs Over Holiday Period

Guitar Hero Live just keeps on getting better, doesn’t it? For this scribe, any and all additions of anything done by the Las Vegas rock band The Killers are a welcome improvement to Guitar Hero TV service.

Activision has announced today that two new premium shows will be joining the service today with “Festival Anthems” and “New Rock Revolution”. Below are the tunes:

Festival Anthems:

  • The Killers – Mr. Brightside
  • Biffy Clyro – Black Chandelier
  • Kings of Leon – Use Somebody

New Rock Revolution
– Don Broco – Priorities
– Lower Than Atlantis – English Kids in America
– Mallory Knox – When Are We Waking Up?

Activision also sent over some stats for the holiday period that show what songs were the most popular. ZZ Top’s ‘I Gotsta Get Paid’ took the number one spot, despite The Killers’ ‘The Cowboys’ Christmas Ball’ being available. Then again, it’s not really surprising, with ZZ Top’s tune constantly being recommended by the game after every bloody song. We reckon it’s Bobby Kotick’s song of choice…
