We’re not going to lie on this one (not that we ever do, mind) but one of these deals is just not all that great: Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5. The fifth numbered game in the Tony Hawk’s franchise is a bit of a mess at the minute and it’s clearly been putting people off buying the game. As such, Activision has gone ahead and slashed the online price of the digital version of the game by 50%, bringing it down to £25. It was previously £50. Ouch. You can read our review of THPS5 here.
That’s not all though, as Activision’s other big-ish release of the year is Transformers: Devastation from Platinum Games. To be fair, Platinum did a decent job with the license and its received fair reviews from numerous critics, as well as players. If you’re interested in Platinum Games’ frenetic combat then you’ll probably enjoy Transformers: Devastation, even more so if you’re one of the Transformers’ faithful followers. This one’s also been knocked down by 50%, bringing the price down to a very tempting £20. Not too shabby, then.
Either of these deals doing anything for you, or will you be picking these up as rentals/bargain bin cast-offs in a couple of years’ time?
