Ubisoft are known for making some pretty bold claims, but their latest one is a little more out there than most.
During the investors relation call, Ubisoft executives announced that they expect the upcoming Rainbow Six Siege to sell more than Far Cry 4, despite Rainbow Six Siege only being available on the PS4, Xbox One and PC – two fewer platforms than the highly anticipated tactical-shooter.
Considering that Far Cry is now an established franchise at the forefront of gamers’ minds and that the Rainbow Six series has been on the back-burner for a few years, it seems hard to imagine the lesser known brand outperforming the other.
That’s not all though as Ubisoft expect to sell fewer games this year due to the fact they won’t be launching any new IPs across any platforms and that they’ll be discontinuing support for new Xbox 360 and PS3 games.
