Sometimes, an old username is not the best, so you may want to change your name in League of Legends: Wild Rift. For example, if it’s SpongeBob1234, and you’ve grown up since booting it up, you’d definitely want to alter it into something cooler. Thankfully, it’s fairly easy to do. You just need to remember your account details if you wish to change your name in League of Legends: Wild Rift.

To change your name in League of Legends: Wild Rift, you first need to head to the main menu. After that, find the tiny gear symbol on the top right of the screen. Next, tap on “Other” on the left side and then go to Account Settings on the bottom right. It’s above the “Start Live Streaming” tab to the left. Be careful not to tap on “Account Deletion!”
Annoyingly, you’ll be asked to log in again. Put in your details and then enter the six-digit security code sent to your email address. We’re not sponsored, but Dashlane is a fast way to access your passwords. It makes processes like these much faster.
Now, to change your name in League of Legends: Wild Rift, put in a new Riot ID. It’s the first tab on the web page. Enter your desired username and then put in a number as your tag. Now back out of the game and restart it. Your new name will appear on the top left! Finally! With that taken care of, it’s time to master the more challenging champions in the roster or learn one of the best tanks in the game.

Can you change your name back in League of Legends: Wild Rift?

Unfortunately, you can’t change your name in League of Legends: Wild Rift back to what it was for 30 days. You’re stuck with the new name for that amount of time. You can certainly make a new account if you’d like, but it may take some time to get your characters, costumes, and experience back. At least you can unlock Garen and Ahri for free straight away.
