The app that has had Fallout fans drooling at the mouth is finally getting released to the other half of the phone market. Bethesda originally released the app for iOS on June 14th after their E3 conference, since then Fallout fans have been jumping, shouting and throwing all kinds of tantrums to get this app rolled out to the rest of their phones as soon as possible!
It’s finally coming, August 13th is the date set for the FREE app to hit the Google Play store with Todd Howard securing the date at this years QuakeCon. and we can obviously expect to be equally as popular as it was for the iOS store.
Bethesda has confirmed this with a Twitter post saying that they are “very excited for Android users to begin playing Fallout Shelter on August 13th”, leaving us with images provided below.
Bethesda has also announced a new addition to Fallout Shelter, Mr Handy will be available for both iOS and Android users as a premium reward. Here is what Bethesda said in a blog post about Mr. Handy:
“Whether you’re playing on Android or on iOS, Fallout Shelter will feature new game updates, including Mr. Handy as an all new premium reward. Have him collect resources inside your Vault, send him into the wasteland to collect loot, and defend your Vault from creatures and disasters, including all new Deathclaw invasions and Molerat infestations.”
We can expect Bethesda to concentrate on this app for a decent amount of time since the app reached the top most-downloaded games in just two weeks after release, thus raking in Bethesda more than $5 million in revenue.
