World of Tanks has been officially announced for the PS4, quite some time after its release on Xbox One and PC, too.
It was actually theorised yesterday that World of Tanks would be releasing on the PS4 due to the fact that the official PlayStation Japan website hosted a page for the game before taking it down. Whoops.
Well, those rumours ain’t rumours anymore: it’s officially coming to the PlayStation 4. Ready your helmets ladies and gents.
The PS4 version will include two new maps that will be exclusive to the platform. Remote Play, Share Play and game sharing will also be supported, as will features specific to the DualShock 4 controller.
You won’t need a PS Plus subscription to play, but PS Plus members will get additional perks. Also, there’s a beta coming at the end of this year, so be sure to look out for that one. You can register your interest for the beta here, though at the time of writing to website is still a little sketchy, so it might be worth waiting a short while before attempting to sign up.
There will be over 350 tanks to take into battle across seven nations. World of Tanks will also feature custom tanks, custom maps, custom skins and more, according to the developers who have also promised to bring new content on a monthly basis for PS4 players.
Wargaming also released a few screenshots from the PS4 build of the game, so check em’ out down below.
As with any new announcement worth its salt, World of Tanks has an explosive trailer for you to feed your eyes with. Enjoy.
