Chaos Dungeons and Cube Guide
Below is a general strategy to make clearing Chaos Dungeon and Cube with a Gunlancer easy.
Keep in mind that in Chaos Dungeons it’s very helpful to use your Awakening Skill: Guardian’s Protection to clear the second room quickly. Cooldowns are refreshed by 40% when killing Elites and are refreshed by 100% when killing Bosses. You will get a 40% cooldown reduction buff for breaking the Rift Cores too! If you’ve used your Awakening Skill early, it should be ready for the final room’s boss as the cooldown should have been reduced enough to be replenished by now.
Strategy
Focus on grouping up enemies and using AoE abilities like Surge Cannon, Leap Attack, and Shout of Hatred. These should clear most enemies. Guardian’s Thunderbolt and Charged Stinger are excellent at taking out Elites and Bosses. Finally, clean up remaining enemies with Fire Bullet, Shield Bash and Shield Shock.
Use the Identity Skill Defensive Stance whenever possible to help mitigate damage.
Stats
If you do not have a Class Engraving yet, Swiftness and Crit will help with clearing quickly. It’s not necessary to have a separate gear set for Chaos Dungeons and Cube instances.
There are 2 ways that you could the Class Engravings change the way we allocate stats for Gunlancers as explained in the Raid guide.
Combat Readiness
Specialization: General (Blue) Skills are improved with specialization. it also helps with identity gauge generation.
Solo Knight
Swiftness / Crit: Specialization doesn’t benefit Lance (Red) Skills so Swiftness helps with faster movement and attack speed with faster cooldowns. Crit is a secondary stat to improve damage.
Runes
Runes are extra items that improve skills. You can equip Runes from the list of ones you’ve collected. They are usable across all the characters on the same server.
