News: Pirate RPG ‘Raven’s Cry’ Release Date Re-Confirmed, Xbox 360 Retail Release Cancelled

A few day’s ago we posted the official PS4 launch trailer for the upcoming pirate RPG ‘Raven’s Cry.’

It was noted back then that the release dates have become somewhat blurred amongst platforms and that many retailers weren’t allowing pre-orders for the Xbox 360 edition of the swash-buckling adventure.

One of our eager readers took it upon himself to find out what was going on with the game and its release dates, below is the reply he received from Topware Interactive, the game’s publisher.

Cheers Paulo!

So just to clarify, the game will release on Mac/Steam/Linux on January 26th whilst the retail edition will be available from January 28th for the PS3, PS4, PC and Mac. You can pre-order your copy here from Amazon.

The Xbox 360 edition will no longer be getting a full retail release but will available via the Xbox Marketplace, though the publisher doesn’t have a solid release date as of yet.

Originally announced back in 2012, Raven’s Cry puts players in the sea-faring boots of Christopher Raven, a pirate during the 17th century on a quest of personal vengeance.

  1. Raven’s Cry completely sucks big time. Lucky Xbox One owners you all didn’t receive this garbage. If gamers want to experience real rpg…Smite, Gigantic, Neverwinter, and Dragon Age: Inquisition is available.
