Just when you think that we’ve had enough remasters/remakes/re-releases to last a console generation, another one rears its head.
This time it’s mega publisher Activision with open-world super-hero/villain title Prototype.
Some achievements for the supposed PS4 version have appeared online that seem to indicate Activision may be testing the re-release waters with one of its lesser known franchises. To be fair, this isn’t the worst thing in the world. Prototype was pretty frickin’ cool when it released back on the last-gen machines, so with a decent polishing and a higher frame-rate, this could be a re-release worth dishing out for – especially if you missed it last time around.
Of course, there will nay-sayers who complain, but at the end of the day, you don’t have to buy the game, just be happy that people who didn’t play it last time around have now got the chance to correct their unforgivable mistake by playing it in (hopefully) a superior form.
