The critically acclaimed Chivalry: Medieval Warfare is going to release on the PS4 and Xbox One – at least that’s what the Brazilian games rating board thinks.
The ratings authority recently re-rated the action game for the PS4 and Xbox One, which is a strong indication that we’ll be getting our swords in a knot on the next-gen consoles in the not-so-distant future.
Torn Banner Studios, the development team behind the popular game, hasn’t given any official confirmation yet, so we’re still keeping this one in the rumour pile for the time being. However, the studio has been pestered by fans for the past couple of years (yes, we’ve been sending them weekly emails, too) to bring the sword-swinging simulator to the next-gen consoles for a while. It makes sense; it’s already out on PS3 and Xbox 360, so it wouldn’t be completely out of the realms of possibility to see a remastered version of the game.
Plus, Activision is the publisher on consoles, so it’s pretty much a given.
[Update] The page has since been nuked, but we’ve got a screencap for those doubters. So, confirmed, yeah?
