The Gleaming Dusk Fragment is needed during the Disney Dreamlight Valley Mother Gothel questline ‘Village Project: Restoring the Stones’. Disney Dreamlight Valley players will be tasked with restoring the Sunstone in the Forgotten Realms, to do so however you’ll need to follow a few steps and acquire a Gleaming Dusk Fragment in the process. Disney Dreamlight Valley: How To Unlock The Village Project Quest
Mother Gothel will be unlocked once players progress the main story enough to fix the Pillar of Friendship, Pillar of Power, and Pillar of Courage. After the Pillar of Courage is fixed, interact with the paper Donald gave you; this will unlock ‘The Curse’ quest and the Glade of Trust area in which Mother Gothel resides.
To begin the Village Project quest, you’ll first need to obtain at least level 10 friendship with Mother Gothel. You can do so by speaking to her every day, performing tasks with her (unlocked at level two friendship) such as gardening or by giving her up to three gifts a day.
Her favourite gifts regularly change but she does have a list of liked gifts that remain the same, these are:
- Eggplant
- Purée
- Yellow Bromeliad
- Cocoa Bean
- Kappa Maki
- Orange Nasturtium
- Pumpkin Soup
- Leek
Disney Dreamlight Valley: How To Get The Gleaming Dusk Fragment
As part of the Village Project quest, Mother Gothel will give you a Dawn Fragment and will ask you to gather these ingredients:
- Lemon – Can be found growing in the Forest of Valor and Glade of Trust
- Ocean Water- Check the Dazzle Beach Shoreline
- Oregano – Commonly found in the Plaza
- Mint – Grows in the Frosted Heights
Once these ingredients have been gathered, place them into a cooking pot either at your house or Remy’s restaurant along with the Dawn Fragment. This will turn the combined items into a Gleaming Dawn Fragment, ready to be handed into Mother Gothel.
Once Mother Gothel has this, she will give the player a Dusk Fragment in exchange. You will now need to turn this into a Gleaming Dusk Fragment by burying it into the soil in the Forgotten Lands and watering it regularly. The fragment will take a day to grow so you can continue any side quests in the meantime. Once a day has passed, return to the spot you planted the fragment and collect it. You’ll know when the fragment is ready to dig up as the ground will be cracked and glowing. It has now grown into a Gleaming Dusk Fragment. You can now return the Gleaming Dusk Fragment to Mother Gothel to continue the quest.

Disney Dreamlight Valley: How To Finish The Village Project Sunstone Quest
Once you hand the Gleaming Dusk Fragment to Mother Gothel she will use it to summon Sun Meteorites to the Forgotten Lands. These fall to the ground, and you must now collect five Sun Meteorites in the Forgotten Lands biome. Return these to Mother Gothel and she will give you a Bundle of Gleaming Fragments.
Finally, take the fragments and meteorites to a crafting station and you will be able to make the Sunstone. Return to Mother Gothel to complete the quest and receive your rewards.
