Pokemon GO Fest 2023: Dates, times, and real-world locations
Pokemon GO Fest is best experienced in person, and this year, London, England, Osaka, Japan, and New York City, USA, will host the GO Fest 2023 festivities! In-person GO Fest events are a one-of-a-kind experience where thousands of Trainers come together to partake in the activities.
London, England
Pokemon GO Fest 2023 kicks off in London, England and runs through August 4, 5, and 6. The adventure will occur across Brockwell Park and Greater London from 9am to 7pm BST.
Osaka, Japan
GO Fest 2023: Osaka and GO Fest 2023: London will both transpire across the same three days of August 4, 5, and 6. Trainers attending GO Fest 2023: Osaka will explore Expo ’70 Commemorative Park, Suita City, and Osaka City from 9am to 7pm JST.
New York City, USA
Fast-forward to August 18, 19, and 20 to experience GO Fest 2023 in New York City, USA! GO Fest 2023: New York City will take Trainers around Randall’s Island Park and the larger New York City area from 9am to 7pm ET.
Global
If you can’t make it to any of the GO Fest 2023 in-person events, there is always the Global event! GO Fest 2023: Global is scheduled for August 26 and August 27.
Pokemon GO Fest 2023: Diancie and Carbink debut
One of the primary draws of Pokemon GO Fest 2023 is the opportunity to encounter Diancie and Carbink for the first time in Pokemon GO.
Diancie, the Jewel Pokemon, will debut first in London, Osaka, and New York City before making itself available worldwide during the Global event. To encounter Diancie, you must purchase a ticket and complete the event-exclusive Special Research.
If it’s Carbink you’re after, you can purchase a GO Fest 2023: Global ticket by July 5, and play between June 21 and July 5, to get a Timed Research that awards an encounter with Carbink when finished. Alternatively, non-ticket holders can get Carbink via Field Research Encounters during the Global event on August 26 and 27.

Pokemon GO Fest 2023: New costumed Pikachu
GO Fest 2023 introduces four new costumed Pikachu into Pokemon GO. Each of these Pikachu variants wears a different colour crown to commemorate the festivities.

GO Fest 2023 marks the first time Trainers can encounter Shiny Goomy, Shiny East Sea Shellos, Shiny West Sea Shellos, Shiny Joltik, and Shiny Oranguru in Pokemon GO. You’ll need a lot of luck to collect all five!

Pokemon GO Fest 2023: How to get tickets
Visit Niantic’s official event ticketing site to get tickets to the Pokemon GO Fest 2023 event of your choosing. To access the site and purchase tickets, you must sign in with your Pokemon GO account. Tickets allow you to experience GO Fest 2023 to its fullest, complete with event-exclusive Special Research, a Global Challenge Arena, Incense Encounters, and other exclusive bonuses.
The in-person GO Fest 2023 events require a ticket, but you can still participate in GO Fest 2023: Global without a ticket! While you will miss out on the upgraded experience, there’s still plenty to do and enjoy.
