Way back in 2012 when the PS3 and Xbox 360 were still the pinnacle of home console gaming, Capcom released Resident Evil 6. It went down alright with players and critics, so much so that we’ve heard many a fan cry out for a next-gen port, despite “remaster” being something of a dirty word.
It looks like that dirty word may be uttered sooner than we thought as the Korean ratings authority has recently evaluated Biohazard 6 (Resident Evil 6) for both the Sony PS4 and Microsoft Xbox One. It’s far from confirmation that the remaster is on its way, but with Capcom previously stating that it wants to keep pushing HD remasters and old games, we wouldn’t be too surprised to see this one hit the now current-gen consoles sometime next year. Besides, when was the last time any ratings board rated a game that didn’t exist?
We’ve reached out to Capcom for comment, but it’s unlikely that the Japanese giant will reply when it most likely has its own marketing plans that include a full reveal. Still, worth a shot, eh?
IDK..
If it is, I’ll give it a try, I never really got to see myself how it is.
Might as well re-release RE4 for the millionth time too.
Jeez capcom, just double down on RE7 already.
Id rather have 4 any day of week for the rest of my life! saddens me i couldnt port it over from ps3 to ps4
I honestly forgot there was a Resident Evil 6 because it was so fucking awful.
I would definitely buy that. I loved RE6. I know it veered into a more actiony dircetion, but its still horror, co-op, and a logical progression for the series recognising that the scares got dulled over the years.
