The Great Fairies are back in Tears of the Kingdom. An integral part of the Zelda franchise, you can unlock them in the new game as well, although they can be tricky to do so.
This guide will tell you the location of every Great Fairy and how you can unlock them in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
Starting the Great Fairy Questline
Unlike in Breath of the Wild, Tears of the Kingdom has you do a questline for the Great Faries to reveal themselves to you. In order to start this questline, you have to go to the Woodland Stable, which is north of Hyrule Castle. The coordinates for this Stable are 1058, 1128, 0022.
There will be an NPC named Penn. He will hire Link so that he can get sightings of Princess Zelda.
Penn will ask Link to go to the Gazette Headquarters and talk to Traysi. The headquarters for the Gazette can be found near the Oromuwak Shrine. The coordinates are -3249, 1764, 0119.
You will then have to return to the Woodland Stable and talk with some of the musicians. They will tell you that they want to play music for one of the Great Fairies, but need their wagon fixed. Luckily, you can use your Ultrahand ability to do this and help them.
You will need to catch a Horse and be able to get it to pull the wagon along. You will have to register it at the Stable. The Horse Harness costs 3 Pony Points.

Unlocking Great Fairy Tera
Tera is the first Great Fairy on the list. You can pull the wagon along to Tera, which is just a cutscene that you’ll have to watch as you are en route to her. The violinist will then play music for Tera, and it will pull her from the bulb.
Unlocking Great Fairy Mija
To get to Great Fairy Mija, you will have to go to the Snowfield Stable in the Tabantha Tundra, at the coordinates -1630, 2587, 0234. There, you will find the music group again. They are looking for their bandmate Eustus, who used to play the Horn with them. This will begin the quest to unlock Great Fairy Mija.
You can find Eustus in the Tabantha Frontier at coordinates -3658, 0760, 0117. He has fallen down a hole with his wagon. Using Ultrahand, combine his wagon materials together so you can put Eustus on it and get him out safely. You will obtain three Courser Bee Honey, which you will need later.
The wagon will need to be pulled by a horse once more but will need protection from the snow. You can use any square flat material from the stable and put it on top of the wagon for protection. It is best to take the left path, as going through the rocks will most likely flip the wagon over.
You will then get a cutscene as they serenade Mija, and you will be given 100 Rupees for your efforts.

Unlocking Great Fairy Cotera
To unlock Great Fairy Cotera, you will want to go to Dueling Peaks Stable, which is southeast of West Necluda. The coordinates are 1757, -1957, 0010. The band are there once more and is looking for their drummer, Beetz.
Beetz is stranded in the southeast of Kakariko Village at 2166, -1382, 0108. Beetz will ask for Courser Bee Honey to make Pancakes. If you kept the Honey from earlier, you can give it to him. Once you have done this, return back to Dueling Peaks Stable.
The band will need to cross the river with the wagon but need some form of a boat in order to do so. You will need to build a boat for them and get them across the way to Great Fairy Cotera. You receive another 100 Rupees for your help.
Unlocking Great Fairy Kaysa
The Great Fairy Fountain for Kaysa is near the Outskirt Stable, southwest of Hyrule Field. The coordinates are 1404, -1266, 0032. Yet again, the music group are here, and looking for another band member. This time, it’s Pyper, who played the Flute.
You can find Pyper at the Highland Stable near Lake Hylia. The coordinates are 0519, -3423, 0047 to find Pyper. Pyper is in a tree when you are searching for them.
They want 10 Sunset Fireflies. If you don’t happen to already have them, they recommend that you collect them from Finra Woods and Pagos Woods. You will have to collect them after Midnight, otherwise, you won’t be able to see them.
Pyper will ask you to collect Haite while it’s still dark, so talk to them and bring them to the tree where Pyper is. A cutscene will play out, and you can then return to the Outskirt Stable.
The path you will take to Kaysa is blocked by rocks, but there is a car with Zonai wheels on. Fuse the final wheel into it, and put the Wagon on top of it. You will then be able to drive over the rocks with no problem and make your way to Kaysa.
