The Pokemon GO Winter Holiday Part 2 event is officially underway, offering all kinds of unique spawns, raids, and other rewards until Saturday 31 December at 8PM. One of these is the Winter Wishes Timed Research, with multiple story branches offering different rewards. Let’s get into all of the Pokemon GO Winter Wishes story path rewards and which path to take.

Winter Wishes Pokemon GO Tasks And Rewards
Winter Wishes will be unlocked automatically if you log in before the event ends on 31 December 2022. It comes with two steps. Step 1 has the following tasks and rewards:
- Catch 5 Pokemon: Glacial Lure Module
- Spin 3 PokeStops or Gyms: Eevee (Holiday Hat) Encounter
- Power up Pokemon 5 times: Silver Pinap Berries x 2
The rewards for completing Step 1 are Stardust x 500 and 500XP. However, you’ll also get to choose one of three additional rewards which determine your path for Step 2:
- 1/2 Egg Hatch Distance – Hatching Eggs Path
- 2 x XP for catching Pokemon – Catching Pokemon Path
- 2 x Stardust for catching Pokemon – Collecting Stardust Path
Winter Wishes – Hatching Eggs Path
In the Winter Wishes Hatching Eggs Path, you’ll have the following Timed Research tasks and rewards:
- Catch 10 Pokemon – Stantler (Holiday) Encounter
- Catch 25 Pokemon – Cubchoo (Holiday) Encounter
- Catch 40 Ice-type Pokemon – Lapras Encounter
- Catch 8 different species of Ice-type Pokemon – Delibird (Holiday) Encounter
- Hatch 3 Eggs – Darumaka (Galarian) Encounter
- Send 25 Gifts to friends – Eevee (Holiday Hat) Encounter
Rewards for completing Step 2: Mr. Mime (Galarian) and Egg Incubator x 1
Winter Wishes – Catching Pokemon Path
- Catch 10 Pokemon – Stantler (Holiday) Encounter
- Catch 25 Pokemon – Cubchoo (Holiday) Encounter
- Catch 40 Ice-type Pokemon – Lapras Encounter
- Catch 8 different species of Ice-type Pokemon – Delibird (Holiday) Encounter
- Earn 25,000XP – Darumaka (Galarian) Encounter
- Send 25 Gifts to friends – Eevee (Holiday Hat) Encounter
Rewards for completing Step 2: Mr. Mime (Galarian) and Lucky Egg x 1
Winter Wishes – Collecting Stardust Path
- Catch 10 Pokemon – Stantler (Holiday) Encounter
- Catch 25 Pokemon – Cubchoo (Holiday) Encounter
- Catch 40 Ice-type Pokemon – Lapras Encounter
- Catch 8 different species of Ice-type Pokemon – Delibird (Holiday) Encounter
- Earn 7,500 Stardust – Darumaka (Galarian) Encounter
- Send 25 Gifts to friends – Eevee (Holiday Hat) Encounter
Rewards for completing Step 2: Mr. Mime (Galarian) and Star Piece x 1
Winter Wishes – Which Story Path To Take
The decision of which Pokemon GO Winter Wishes story path to take depends on your preference as a player. However, if you still haven’t reached the player level cap of 50, it would be best to the Catching Pokemon Path. Since the XP requirements to level up past level 40 are ginormously high, the double XP bonus can go a long way.
On the other hand, if you have already reached Level 50, you should take the Collecting Stardust Path. In the same vein as the Catching Path, the 2 x Stardust bonus is a quick and easy way to power up your Pokemon for raids and Team Rocket battles.
