The Missing Prophecy is a prologue quest to Morrowind in ESO, where players must help an oracle of Azura to stop the malevolent forces trying to destroy Tamriel. Even though it is a starter quest, triggering and completing The Missing Prophecy in ESO is challenging as players often fail to find some of the key NPCs required to begin the quest.
Moreover, some players who do manage to start the quest often fail to complete it for one reason or another. In the wake of that, we prepared this handy guide that walks you through the entire The Missing Prophecy quest in ESO.

How to complete The Missing Prophecy quest in ESO
First, talk to the NPC named Alessio Guillon, one of the Breton Worshipers in ESO, whom you can find at any of the starting area Taverns or the Wayrest Treasury at Stormhaven. Once you talk to him, he will send you to the Cloudy Dreggs Inn in Wayrest in the Stormhaven region to meet another NPC named Rhea Opacarius.
When you reach the Cloudy Dreggs Inn, make your way to the first floor and move towards the rightmost part to find the Guest Room. Once you are there, go inside and talk to Rhea Opacarius and exhaust her dialogue to trigger The Missing Prophecy quest in the game.
The very first objective of the game is relatively easy, as it asks you to “visit Pariah Abbey,” located in the middle of the Stormhaven region. Teleport to the Pariah Abbey Wayshrine and go near the Pariah Abbey’s gate to complete the objective.
- Here are all the Lead locations for ESO harpooner’s wading kilt mythic armor piece.
The next objective will ask you to “talk to Azura,” a statue found inside the Pariah Abbey Chapel. Do that, and you will progress the quest and move to the next objective, where you must “collect 20 Daedric Essence.”
To obtain Daedric Essence in ESO, you can kill the different Daedra-type enemies around the map. We recommend killing the Scamps that spawn right past the Pariah Abbey Wayshrine to complete the objective quickly.

Once you have collected the twenty Daedric Essence, you must “talk to Rhea” inside the Pariah Abbey. As soon as you do that, Rhea will get sucked into a portal, giving the next objective, “read Rhea’s letter.”
You will find her letter lying on the ground. Interact with it to progress the quest and move to the next objective, where you must “rescue three Oracles, namely Kanzin, Muz-Shah, and Rhea” herself, from Rubble Butte, Faldar’s Tooth and Mephala’s Nest.
- Rubble Buttle is a ruin found north of Hallin’s Stand in the western parts of Bangkorai.
- Faldar’s Tooth is a delipidated fortress east of Honrich Tower in the central Rift.
- Lastly, Mephala’s Nest is a ruin located south of Ebonheart in central Stonefalls.
Go to the respective locations and save the three Oracles. Once you are done with that, “return to Pariah Abbey” and speak to Azura. Exhaust her dialogues and talk to her again to get teleported to the Cold-Blood Cavern in Shadowfen.
When you arrive, you will have a new objective, “investigate the Cold-Blood Cavern.” Collect the three cursed items to complete the objective “recover the Cursed Treasures” and finally enter the portal to “confront Dyzera.”

After defeating Dyzera, “return to Rhea at the Cold-Blood Cavern” to get the Twilight Shard from Rhea and complete the quest, The Missing Prophecy.
