In this Lost Ark Thaitalos Guardian Raid Guide, we cover everything you should know about the boss encounter including how to find a group, boss fight strategy, and loot from Thaitalos.

Minimum Level for Thaitalos Lost Ark Guardian Raid
Thaitalos is the eighth Lost Ark Guardian Dungeon boss. You should now be well acquainted with how these dungeons and raids work, and you should get to at least item level 580+ or higher before starting this raid. If this is your first time, make sure you put together a party before heading in.
It’s important to set up with the gear you want to use, the potions and battle items you will bring, and the Tripod skills you are going to want to use within the raid before signing up!

Thaitalos Boss Strategy
Annihilate
The main special mechanic in this fight with Thaitalos occurs with the Annihilate Ability. Annihilate will be cast 2 or 3 attacks after performing the Earthquake attack. This will kill any player who is hit by it. Causing the boss to enrage; his attack speed and damage increases, sandstorms disappear and no longer spawn. The boss must be staggered to return to normal state to continue the fight.
Counter Measures: To counter the Annulate killing players, you will need to get hit by the Sandstorm. Taking damage from the Sandstorms will place a stacking debuff on your character that reduces your movement speed. This debuff will stack 3 times; on the 3rd stack you will be petrified for 5 seconds. This makes your character invulnerable; which effectively counters the damage from Annihilate. Once the invulnerability buff runs out a debuff will prevent you from being petrified again for 30 seconds.
It’s important to only walk into the Sandstorms and acquire the debuff 3 times just before the boss gathers energy around him in preparation for the attack.

Using the Battle Item Panacea will remove unnecessary stacks of the Sandstorms Debuff.
Stages
Thaitalos will run away at certain phases of the fight and you will have to find her again. There are 3 phases to the fight. After teleporting a new phase will begin and the boss will gain access to a few new and upgraded abilities. There are no new abilities in phase 3.
Stage 1 Attack Patterns
Double Swipe
Thaitalos does a right handed frontal sweeping strike, quickly followed by a left handed frontal sweeping strike. This is followed by a 360 knockdown ability.
Counter Measures: Stand behind the boss, or if you are infront when he raises his left arm, dash backwards.
Frontal Stomp
Thaitalos will slowly stand back onto his hind legs and the slam down onto the ground causing a frontal cone attack.
Counter Measures: When he stands up walk either behind or to his sides.
Breath
Thaitalos gathers energy underneath him and then exhales an attack forward.
Counter Measures: When he gathers the sand around him walk either behind or to his sides.
Pounce
Thaitalos will position himself in a preparatory squat and then rush forward.
Counter Measures: When he squats down dash away from his sides
Stage 2 and 3 Attack Patterns
Sand Bales
Thaitalos will spawn multiple bales of sand from behind and to the sides that will roll in a straight direction; depending on which direction the boss is facing they will always be from back to front.
Counter Measures: Stand behind the boss.
Sand Bales – Multidirectional
Thaitalos same as the previous Sand Bales, but will come from the boss and out in 4 directions as well as some from a random direction.
Counter Measures: One bale will spawn behind the boss and roll away. Once clear, position yourself behind the boss for damage.
Floating Bombs
Thaitalos will spawn a floating bomb that will explode after a time or on contact.
Counter Measures: Avoid the bomb XD
Eruptions
Thaitalos will stomp three times on the ground causing high damage eruptions to appear in the telegraphed circles.
Counter Measures: Do not stand in the circles that spawn around him.
