How to get Champions in Clash Royale
You unlock your very first Clash Royale Champion when you reach Arena 16 on Trophy Road. You can unlock additional Champions on Trophy Road after achieving 5,500 Trophies, 6,000, and 6,500 Trophies.
Opening a Champion Chest will also award you with a guaranteed Champion. Standard Chests can contain Champions too, but whether you get a Champion or not comes down to the luck of the draw.
If you don’t have any Champions yet, you can get a random Champion from the Pass Royale. Open a Royal Wild Chest on Tier 30 of the free reward track to get your first Champion!
Last but not least, the Shop will occasionally feature Champions as limited-time offers. If you have Gold to spare, checking the Shop every day is a great way to collect all the Clash Royale Champions.
If you’re hesitant to spend Gold on a particular Champion, you can experiment with the various Champions for free during Challenges and Global Tournaments. Challenges and Global Tournaments offer a Deck Builder that allows you to play with any card in the game, even if you haven’t unlocked it yet.
