There are a huge number of Disney Speedstorm game modes, even during its early access period. There are different multiplayer modes, in addition to a single-player mission-based option. Here are all of the Disney Speedstorm game modes available right now.
- The Initialization error is an issue for Disney Speedstorm players.
All multiplayer Disney Speedstorm game modes
The most important element of a kart racer is its online multiplayer, given it’s the main way friends and family can play together. Those who like to play Disney Speedstorm solo can also compete to be the very best and go “Zero to Hero.” The following Disney Speedstorm game modes are available for multiplayer sessions:
- Private Track
- Custom lobbies that let you change the race settings and the track with a custom join code. It works similarly to Super Smash Bros.
- Regulated Multiplayer
- You’ll be set up with players that are of the same level as you. “Only your skill matters here,” says the game. You’ll earn points and get rewards for reaching milestones. You can join with your friends in this mode. Crossplay is available to use in Disney Speedstorm.
- Ranked Multiplayer
- You’re racing against real players and ranking up. You’ll get better rewards based on how awesome your rank is. For example, if you reach Platinum, you’ll get the exclusive Flashy Orange kart part colour.
It’s cool that you can play all of these modes with your friends, no matter what system they own Disney Speedstorm on.
- Twitch Drops can unlock exclusive content for Disney Speedstorm.
All single-player modes in Disney Speedstorm
In addition to the multiplayer modes, there are single-player options that provide a ton of rewards to you. One particular mode, however, provides an offline alternative that lets you play split-screen local multiplayer. They include:
- Starter Circuit
- This is the mode you start with. You go through a bunch of courses in a Super Mario Bros-like style. As you finish races, you’ll unlock bonuses like character shards and kart part colours.
- Season Tour
- Unlocked within Chapter 2 of the Starter Circuit, this is a continuation of that particular single-player mode. You’ll come across challenges that are themed to the season. For example, this current season (at the time of writing) has a Monster’s Inc theme, so you’re more likely to get Monstropolis-abound items and character shards.
- Limited Events
- These are seasonal challenges that have you fulfilling objectives within events. For example, the “It All Started With A Mouse” limited event has you play as Mickey and finishing objectives like reaching the Top 3 and sliding on a grind pipe for three seconds.
- Local Freeplay
- This is the only one of the Disney Speedstorm game modes that’s available offline. You can play any track, set the CPU difficulty, the number of CPU racers, select the speed, and choose the amount of Laps in this mode. You can also play with one other player on the same screen.
