Tencent might have confirmed via Twitter that this year’s PUBG Mobile World Championship will be a LAN-based event. In a giveaway, Tencent will be giving away two tickets for the PMGC 2022 as part of PUBG Mobile’s fourth Anniversary Sweepstakes. This may mean that the yearly Champion will be played in person.
Players can sign up for the PUBG mobile fourth anniversary sweepstakes by providing their name, birthday and PUBG mobile ID.

Tencent will also organize a Mid-Season Championship with teams from all over the world in June. The format of this tournament is still unknown.
Since the 2019 PMCO Global Finals in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), PUBG Mobile has not had a live championship. The 2020 PMGC Finals were to be held at the Coca Cola Arena, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. All teams flew out to compete in the Middle East country. All teams were required to play from their hotel rooms, even though a few of the players had tested positive for COVID-19.
When is the PMGC?
According to the official roadmap for 2021, the PUBG Mobile World Championship in 2022 will take place between December 2022 and January 2023. The title of world champions will be up for grabs by the top teams around the globe. Its format has not been disclosed.
