Soon after its release in December 2021, a new update patch for Five Night’s At Freddy’s Security Breach was released. But it seems that it wasn’t enough to tackle all of the bugs and glitches in the game. The good news for FNAF fans is that developers Steel Wool Studios have now released patch 1.0.5 that aims to fix over 100 issues that plagued the game.
Riddled With Issues
The Five Night’s at Freddy’s franchise is hugely popular, and the series has a massive number of fans around the world. Every one of the 16 games before Security Breach had a very simple premise with uncomplicated gameplay, and this certainly helped its appeal. However, Security Breach was the first game in the series that deviated from the usual formula, and it seems like the developers fell a bit short. Overall, the real issues stemmed from the incredible complexity of the game and the glitches that stopped players from progressing. This led to frustrating replays with no results.
Addressing The Flaws
As Steel Wool Studios’ first foray into an open world game, many fans forgave them for the hiccups, but the developers need to take action to avoid alienating a large portion of their fan base in the long run. The first bug that has noticeably been fixed with the new patch is the lack of save stations. The previous manual save system has been given a makeover and it’s now a whole lot easier to save your progress.
Another bug fix that makes a huge difference to gameplay is the camera instruction card for the FazWatch. The cameras were intended to incentivize players to plan their routes, however, how you did so wasn’t very clear. In previous games in the franchise camera play has played a major role, and it should have done the same in Security Breach. A lot of the jump scares come from the cameras, so a bug fix is most welcome for gamers who like a bit of a fright.
Small Fixes, Big Differences
Along with the two big fixes there were multiple other small tweaks that the patch fixed. These included a color-coding fix for the daycare generators, an update to the hiding spots, the conveyor belt speed, light radius on S.T.A.F.F bots and the Comedy Bots comedic routine. This should take care of the glitches for now, but many gamers reckon that in time, Steel Wool Studios may have to release another update to get the game up to the usual FNAF standards.
