The first massive update for Disney Dreamlight Valley has introduced many new aspects to the game, most notably the iconic villain Scar. As with every new character who enters your land, you’ll be able to level up Scar through a series of friendship quests, each offering new rewards as you progress through. However, following this path will push you into finding a variety of ingredients and making new recipes.
As part of Scar’s introductory quest, you will be sent on a wild goose chase to grab ingredients and make an Extra Fizzy Root Beer. While you may have made standard Root Beer already during your time in Disney Dreamlight Valley, this will be your first time crafting the latest iteration, and it can be very easy to mess up if you’re not paying attention.

How To Make Extra Fizzy Root Beer In Disney Dreamlight Valley
Out of all the things you’d expect to be doing with Scar in Disney Dreamlight Valley, creating Extra Fizzy Root Beer is perhaps not one of them. For this, you will need to hunt down a few ingredients, one of which you will receive as a quest item.
Here’s everything you need to make Extra Fizzy Root Beer in Disney Dreamlight Valley:
- 1 Dried Ginger: Received as a quest reward.
- 1 Sugarcane: Can be purchased from Goofy’s stall at Dazzle Beach or grown if you have the seeds.
- 1 Vanilla: Found scattered on the ground in Sunlit Plateau.
With the three of these ingredients, you can now make Extra Fizzy Root Beer in Disney Dreamlight Valley, however, there is something you need to be careful of. The recipe is strikingly similar to the standard Root Beer, and it can be incredibly easy to craft that instead. Thankfully, you won’t lose your Dried Ginger needed for the recipe, but you will need to hunt down Sugarcane and Vanilla again.
Additionally, users on Reddit have also reported a bug where standard Root Beer was made instead of the Extra Fizzy Root Beer. With Dried Ginger being an exclusive quest item, this is obviously a cause for panic, but fear not, players have reported that reloading the game will reintroduce the ingredient back into your inventory to create it again.
