Are you playing Disney Dreamlight Valley and have come across the ‘What Home Feels Like’ quest? While you may be happy with how your Disney Dreamlight Valley looks, you’ve got to factor in all the other residents that live in your abode. With such a wide range of characters, there’s a lot to balance to ensure it all works in perfect harmony, and as more get introduced, it’s only going to get harder.
One of your fussiest characters is Elsa, and when she joins Disney Dreamlight Valley, you’ll be doing a lot to keep her happy. Having lived in ice-cold conditions for a while, her quest line often places you in ensuring the surrounding area is up to her standards. As a result, one of her Friendship Quests known as What Home Feels Like will have you completing a variety of tasks to do just this. If you need a helping hand, here’s how to complete What Home Feels Like in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

How To Complete What Home Feels Like In Disney Dreamlight Valley
Make Dandelion Syrup
While you’ve done your best to accommodate Elsa since her arrival in Disney Dreamlight Valley, once you hit friendship level three, you’ll discover she’s still homesick. In order to make her feel more welcome, you’ll need to cook her a Dandelion Syrup, something that will remind her of her origins. As the quest begins, simply read the recipe in your inventory and collect the following ingredients:
- 1 Lemon: Found growing in the Forest of Valor or the Glade of Trust biomes.
- 5 Dandelions: Found growing in the Plaza biome.
- 3 Garlic: Found growing in the Forest of Valor biome.
- 2 Onions: Seeds can be purchased from Goofy’s stall in the Forest of Valor biome. You’ll then need to plant, cultivate, and harvest them.
- 1 Empty Vial: Can be crafted by using three pieces of glass. Glass is made by gathering sand, which can be found across Dazzle Beach.
Make A Fish Pie
After cooking this recipe up, it’s unfortunately not the end, as another recipe is required to advance the What Home Feels Like quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley. For this one, things are a bit more challenging, mainly due to needing a Glittering Herring for the Fish Pie recipe. Here are all the ingredients you need to make the Fish Pie for Elsa:
- 1 Glittering Herring: Can be fished in the Glade of Trust biome on rainy days.
- 1 Wheat: Seeds can be purchased from Goofy’s stall in the Peaceful Meadow biome. It grows incredibly quickly.
- 1 Butter: Can be bought from Chez Remy in the pantry.
- 1 Dandelion Syrup: You should have this after crafting it as part of the first task.
Make An Arendellian Pickled Herring
With these, create the Fish Pie. You’d think it would be the final part, but you’d be wrong. Your next port of call is to make the Arendellian Pickled Herring recipe. Thankfully, there’s nothing quite as annoying as the Glittering Herring to find, but you’ll still need a fair few ingredients to complete this task. Here are all the ingredients you need to make an Arendellian Pickled Herring:
- 1 Herring: Can be caught at Dazzle Beach or the Glade of Trust.
- 1 Lemon: Found growing in the Forest of Valor or the Glade of Trust biomes.
- 1 Onion: Seeds can be purchased from Goofy’s stall in the Forest of Valor biome. You’ll then need to plant, cultivate, and harvest them.
- 1 Garlic: Found growing in the Forest of Valor biome.
- 1 Herb: Find Basil or Oregano in the Plaza or Peaceful Meadow biome.
With both meals in hand, return to Elsa who will wolf them down. After a flashback to her time back in Arendale, she will remember there is a chest buried near her Ice Cavern. You will find the glistening dig spot to the left-hand side of the entrance behind a giant ice block. Dig it up to receive a Purple Crest and the Arendellian Extra-Pickled Herring before returning to Elsa once again.
After giving her the Arendellian Extra-Pickled Herring, you’ll receive it back in a jar, before she leaves you with one final task – taking the Purple Crest to the back of her Ice Cavern. Do as she asks, return to her, and finally, the What Home Feels Like quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley is complete!
