Coral Island: How To Rank Up Town Fast Through Shrine Offerings
During your playthrough of Coral Island, you may have noticed heritage sites, the ancient trees which emit a green fog due to a mysterious illness. After you have had the initial cutscene at the town hall with the mayor, around Day 6, a spirit will enter your dreams and task you with visiting one of these sites.
There are a few around town to choose from, pick a tree and interact with the stone tablet next to it. A frightened giant will be summoned and will run away from you.
To progress the story further, simply go to bed and once you wake, you’ll have a letter in the mail from the giant asking to meet you.
Follow the cloud of flowers to the giant, which will lead westwards, past the farm and over a fallen tree trunk. There, the giant will conduct a ceremony which will allow you to comprehend the language on the stone tablets. He will tell you the reason the island is sick is that the patron goddess is sick too and will ask you to travel to her temple, located to the far northeast of the island.
Once you visit the goddess, you will be instructed to make offerings to the altars to help heal the island, in return for recipes and resources. To contribute offerings to the alters, interact with them and you’ll see the list of bundles available. They mostly entail contributing resources in bundles in return for recipes and other rewards. Once you have given the first offering, this will unlock fast travel between altars. Completing these bundles will also gradually help restore the island.

Coral Island: How To Rank Up Town Fast Through Donating To The Museum
The museum is located beneath the blacksmiths in town. The building is usually open 24 hours which makes donating items relatively easy. Scott will tell you upon first entering the building that the town used to have a thriving collection of specimens, but they had to be sold to make money to help clean up the oil spill. He asks for your help re-establishing a collection. Simply donate one of each fish, bug, and artefact you find to the museum.
Once you have donated ten items, Scott tells you he has drafted plans to create a museum expansion, you will need to donate an additional 40 specimens to see the expansion completed.
Fish and bugs can be collected once you are given a rod and net from Sunny and Eleanor at The Beach Shack on day three (check the mail for a letter from them.) Artefacts can be found in coffers, which are found from clearing trash piles. You can open a coffer at the blacksmiths for 20 gold. You can also purchase the skill point to increase your chance of receiving twice the number of artefacts from coffers to further increase your chances.
Once you raise the town’s grade, you’ll receive a message in the mail from the mayor informing you of what additional items the town vendors now sell. You’ll also receive a cutscene in the night of newly unlocked areas for exploration.
