Coral Island: How To Unlock Diving
Around day 8 of spring, you’ll receive a letter from local scientist Ling in the mail, inviting you to the diving school. Meet her on the dock where she will lament about the oil spill endangering the sea life and ask for your help to revive the coral reefs.
She will give you a diving suit and agrees to let you keep it in exchange for activating five solar orbs. With the suit, you can now dive any time you like by travelling to the dock and interacting with the ladder leading into the sea (just south of where you will initially talk to Ling).

Coral Island: How To Find Solar Orbs
The Solar Orbs are hidden within the piles of trash on the seabed. Clear these away using your scythe to find the randomly placed orb. Solar Orbs are golden in colour, once you uncover one, interact with it and it will float towards one of the underwater pillars and activate, bringing life back to the nearest coral bed.
Repeat this process five times and then return to Ling at her lab, east of the town centre. She will reveal more of the story around the oil spill and afterwards, you will be directed to continue the work and clear more of the coral beds. Doing so will help improve the town’s rating.
Clearing the trash piles until you see an orb can be a long process, as a result, it is wise to keep plenty of snacks in your inventory so you can give yourself an energy boost. It is possible to eat underwater, it is also possible to use your tools including your net. This is handy to keep with you in case you see any crustaceans you wish to catch.
