Back in October Ubisoft released the one thousandth Assassin’s Creed game – Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate. Now ever since 2010’s AC: Brotherhood Assassin’s Creed games have had some form of online multiplayer be it competitive or co-operative. However, after AC: Unity’s shamble of a release they decided to axe the franchise’s online components for this year’s entry. That brought another problem to the table – how do they keep players playing the game?
The answer came in the form of community events, the first of which took place last weekend. There’s another taking place this weekend starting today (the 13th) and ending on the 16th. What does this event entail, we hear you cry. It’s straight forward, all you have to do is take part in events in the game’s Southwark borough and you’ll earn 25% extra cash and XP. Not bad for just playing the game. This means anything from train robberies to beating the living daylights out of London’s inhabitants in a fight club will earn you the 25% extra, but only in the aforementioned district.
