ESO: Necrom will introduce a ton of new content to the game in the form of a new class, Arcanist, two new zones, Telvanni Peninsula and Apocrypha, mythic gears, pets, companions, characters, and much more. Among these new additions, many players are excited about the new companions.
After getting introduced in the Blackwood chapter, the Companions system has become one of the staples of ESO, as everyone likes to have a plus one on their side who can help you in battle while accompanying you across Tamriel in your adventures.
Keep reading our guide as we talk about all new companions coming to ESO with the Necrom chapter while sharing additional details on their class, how you can recruit and summon them, and much more.

ESO Necrom: All new companions
ESO: Necrom will add two new companions to the existing roster, Azandar Al-Cybiades, a Redguard Arcanist, and Sharp-As-Night, an Argonian Warden. Both are going to be the first companions for the respective class, as previously, we had four companions in the game, namely:
- Bastian Hallix – Dragonknight
- Ember – Sorcerer
- Isobel Velois – Templar
- Mirri Elendis – Night Blade
While Sharp-As-Night will be a great companion, as we have seen what a Warden can do since the class debuted in 2017, the most interesting companion of the two is Azandar Al-Cybiades.

Arcanist is a new class coming to ESO with the Necrom expansion. It offers three skill lines, Herald of the Tome, Curative Runeforms, and Apocryphal Soldier, that revolve around offensive, support, and survivability skills.
Among these three skill lines, the most interesting one is Herald of the Tome when it comes to offense. Since compansions can wield the same skills with subtle nuances, Azandar Al-Cybiades is going to be a force to be reckoned with.

However, if you are someone who enjoys taking on battles, you can still use Azandar Al-Cybiades as support. In that case, you can focus on upgrading skills under the Curative Runeforms and Apocryphal Soldier skill lines.
