Marvel Snap Warriors Of Wakanda: New Cards Explained
While the season pass showcases three different unlockable cards, only one of those is in fact new and is Black Panther themselves. However, as players unlock variants of other Warriors of Wakanda characters who have previously been added to Marvel Snap, it’s still worth knowing what they do as their chances of being used in matches are now considerably higher.
New Card: Black Panther
Starting with the only new card in the Warriors of Wakanda season pass, Black Panther is a high-energy card that packs a punch. While a power level of 4 may not seem to be too useful considering the energy value, the power is actually doubled once it has been revealed.
It may not offer too much in terms of providing assistance to other cards, but the fact it doubles its value once placed means it can mess with your opponent’s strategy. If any locations increase the power of your cards, it’s important to use Black Panther here and make the most of doubling the power value.
New Card: Nakia
Nakia may have been in Marvel Snap previously, but with the addition of Black Panther, she can be a powerful ally. Once played on the board, Nakia will give your two leftmost cards in your hand +2 power. This means Black Panther’s original power of 4 will move to 6 if you have them in your hand. Mainly working as an assist character, Nakia pairs perfectly with the other Warriors of Wakanda cards to create a powerful deck.
New Card: Okoye
Similarly to Nakia, Okoye is another support character for your Marvel Snap deck. This time around, Okoye will raise each card in your deck by +1 power, meaning she’s useful for not just Black Panther, but your other cards as well. It’s also a useful tactic to use the three Warriors of Wakanda cards in succession. Okoye can raise Black Panther and Nakia on turn 2, opening up turn 3 for you to use Nakia to raise Black Panther even further before dropping the double power bombshell.
While the Warriors of Wakanda trio in Marvel Snap may not seem powerful at first glance, it can lead to some fun and interesting battles where you rapidly turn the match in your favour. It’s clearly a deck built for forward-thinking, and using the three in unison is the best way to utilize their abilities.
