As is now the standard these days, there will be an optional Season Pass to purchase for Ubisoft’s upcoming Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.
The Season Pass will give buyers an extra character to play as, in addition to the new protagonist Edward Kenway and Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation‘s Aveline. Players will be able to step into the swashbuckling boots of Adewale, who is described on the Best Buy listing as “a new assassin who will take you even deeper into the real explosive events of the Golden Age of Pirates.”
It’s always a little disappointing to see content planned for release alongside the game when it could easily be put into the main game at no cost to the consumer, but hopefully the asking price of $19.99 won’t sting too much.
Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is due to release on October 29th in North America and a few days later for the UK and Europe on November 1st and will be available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U and PC, though the PC version is due out a few weeks after the console versions.
