This may come as a shock to you but Insomniac Games’ latest title Fuse will not require an Online Pass and neither will it feature any kind of microtransactions within the game itself. This means you will have full unrestricted access to the online components of the game, even if you pick it up some time down the line used or borrow if off a buddy. Yay!
The developer confirmed the news on Fuse‘s official website’s FAQ section stating:
“8. Cool. Online pass?
– Nope. But, you should still buy it new to support us because there are no microtransactions to make up for it, though. :D”
It’s quite a surprise to be honest, mainly because EA is the publisher for Fuse and are notorious for implementing Online Passes and microtransactions in just about every game they get their hands on.
Fuse is also set to get a demo sometime before the game releases in May, so be sure to give it a go if you’re on the fence as to whether to make a purchase or not.
Fuse comes to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 this May 28th for North America and a few days later for the UK and Europe on May 31st. Be sure to check in again around that time for The Games Cabin’s review!
