If you want to know how to evolve Girafarig in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, look no further. This guide will reveal all you need to know about obtaining this new Pokemon evolution.
As we learned from pre-release info for Scarlet and Violet, the classic Gen 2 Pokemon Girafarig is getting a brand new evolution at last. That evolution is Farigiraf, and it’s not too hard to get, so let’s find out how!
How To Evolve Girafarig: Where To Find It
To get your hands on Girafarig, you’ll need to travel to the area above Asado Desert. According to the trusty Pokedex, this is the only area where Girafarig can be found.
Make your way to Area Two of the West Province and you should find a Girafarig fairly quickly. They’re not a rare sight, so just look around the grasslands for one to catch.
Now that you have your Girafarig, it’s time to evolve it into Farigiraf.
How To Evolve Girafarig: Learning Twin Beam
You’ll want to get Girafarig to Level 32. This is when it will learn the move Twin Beam, which is essential for evolving it.
Once your Girafarig learns Twin Beam, it will evolve into Farigiraf. It’s pretty simple and hopefully shouldn’t take you too long. Just make sure you don’t accidentally click “no” when it asks whether you want to learn the new move or not.
Farigiraf is a Normal and Psychic type, just like its smaller form, and it’s a pretty solid improvement on the original. Girafarig is one of those Pokemon which has kinda needed an evolution for a long time, as it was never really strong enough to make it on many people’s teams.
What’s more, Farigiraf’s name is another palindrome, just like Girafarig. That means the name is the same if you read it backwards!
