Pokémon Scarlet and Violet feature three consecutive storylines that eventually collide in the game’s final act. For the sake of this guide, we will be focusing on the “Path of Legends” story arc, which revolves around Arven and his mission to defeat the Titan Pokémon. After assisting him with a Titan battle, Arven will collect the Herba Mystica from the respective cave nearby in the hopes of healing his beloved Pokémon. However, Herba Mystica can be obtained as a separate item in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, and here’s a guide explaining everything you need to know.

Before you can obtain some additional Herba Mystica, you must first complete Nemona’s storyline called “The Champion’s Path”. This is a lengthy endeavour, as you’re required to defeat the eight gym leaders, the Elite Four, and the Champion. Additionally, you must defeat Nemona at the Academy in a final encounter following the defeat of Champion Geeta. This will then unlock 5-Star Tera Raids, unlocking the ability to obtain Herba Mystica.
Pokemon Scarlet And Violet: Tera Raid Battles
5-Star and 6-Star Tera Raids are the only methods for obtaining Herba Mystica in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. However, they’re no easy task and can be considered some of the most difficult challenges in the entire game. 5-Star Raids feature Pokémon with a level-cap of 75, while 6-Star Raids go the extra mile with a level-cap of 95. You will want to make sure that you’ve fully trained a Pokémon (we recommend Azumarill with Belly Drum and Rain Dance), prior to initiating these raids.
If you can successfully complete one of these raids, there’s a chance that you may find a Herba Mystica as one of your rewards for completion. This will ultimately take a lot of grinding and may seem frustrating – but the additional rewards are also worth grabbing.
That’s everything you need to know about Herba Mystica in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. With this guide, you should be able to obtain a variety of Herba Mystica for use in your sandwich recipes.
