The Nintendo 3DS has been fairly lucky with piracy, in the fact that it’s not the easiest thing to hack.
Somebody within the hacking community who goes by the name “yellows8” claims to have found an exploit through a savegame, allowing him to hack into the system. The person “yellows8” doesn’t mention the game used, not even if it’s a regular DS game or a Nintendo 3DS game, he doesn’t really give much away at all, so take this one with a pinch of salt. For now, we’re leaving this one in the rumour mill until there’s more concrete evidence. Though the image below show’s that the system has been compromised to some extent, although, it could just be faked, but you can check it out and decide for yourself.
For hacking enthusiasts this could mean the running of homebrew applications and emulators, which aren’t necessarily a bad thing. Though of course, with hacking comes the inevitable piracy, something that could bury a console before it’s time.
