Playstation UK’s Managing Director has given a few words on what he thinks lies ahead this winter for the PS Vita;
“We’d love for us to be further on,” Gara said “And the release schedule for Vita was rather like the release schedule for the industry this year, in that it did dry up during the summer. We had that incredible summer of sport and very little focus on gaming.
“But the great news is that we have got the content in place. We have got the cash to invest in terms of marketing and retail to really ignite it this Christmas. To start judging a console before it has had its first Christmas is preposterous, really. And we are giving it everything we have got.”
While the releases for the PS Vita were few and far between during the summer months, the same was right for the industry. Summer time is usually barren in terms of new releases with most big titles coming out in from October all the way to April.
Hopefully the PS Vita will see a surge in popularity this Christmas, the more consoles out in peoples hands, the more games will be made for it.
