How to get the Climbing Gear set
In order to get the Climbing Gear set in Tears of the Kingdom, you will have to go to three different locations. However, it is worth it as it gives you a faster climbing speed, meaning you’re less likely to run out of stamina by the time you get to the top.
Climbing Gear chest piece location
The Climbing Gear chest piece can be found in North Hyrule Plain Cave, northwest of Lookout Landing. The coordinates for this particular piece of armour are (-1187, 0641, 0072.) You will then be able to find the piece of gear within the cave.
This is the first bit of armour from the set you can obtain, which you will find hidden behind a waterfall once you have explored the cave thoroughly and fought your way past Like-Likes and Horriblins.
Climbing Bandana location
For the next part of the Climbing Gear, you’ll be going after the Climbing Bandana. You can get this in the Ploymous Mountain Cave. The coordinates for this piece of gear are (3367, 0539, 0272).
The entrance to the cave looks like a crack in the wall, so it can be easily missed. In addition, the walls are wet within the cave, making it difficult to traverse. Using a Sticky Elixir will be the saving grace to get you through this cave, allowing you to get the Climbing Bandana.
Climbing Boots location
Finally, the Climbing Boots will be in Upland Zorana Byroad, a cave southwest of Zora’s Domain. The coordinates for this specific cave are (2860, 0349, 0227). It is near a lake and a mountain, but if you’re struggling to find the cave, you can get to it with ease from the Upland Zorana Skyview Tower.
When you make your way into this cave, you’ll have to deal with roots blocking your way, and you’ll have to rely a little on your Ultrahand ability to traverse through the cave, and you’ll find a room with the Climbing Boots in.
