There are many different pieces of armour that you can get in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. They all serve other purposes, and this includes Tears of the Kingdom’s Rubber Armor set that you can get your hands on.
This guide will explain the purpose of the Rubber Armor in Tears of the Kingdom and where you can obtain it.
What are the Rubber Armor special effects?
If you are getting electrocuted frequently whilst roaming Hyrule, this armour may be something you want to get your hands on. You may find yourself getting electrocuted in Tears of the Kingdom for many reasons, from Electric Wizzrobes to having metal weapons equipped.
In the game, the Rubber Armor helps you not only survive lightning attacks, but also reduces the amount of damage that lightning does to you. This is definitely beneficial if you are to take on enemies such as the Thunder Gleeok.

Rubber Armor Locations in Tears of the Kingdom
The Rubber Armour is split up across the map, and you will have to travel to different locations in order to get the complete set.
Rubber Armor – Chest location
You can get the Chest piece of the armour very early in the game, once you have landed back in Hyrule. There is a cave named the Whistling Hill Cave, which is nestled between Whistling Hill and Lake Kolomo. It is directly north of Teniten Shrine.
There are some enemies within the cave that you will have to battle in order to retrieve your prize. Expect to fight some Lightning Keese, a Like-Like, and some Bokoblin Skeletons. You will also need to get through some walls that are blocked up by boulders.
Once you have valiantly battled your way past the difficult enemies in this cave, you will find your prize hidden in a chest. This will give you the Rubber Armor Chest.
Rubber Armor – Helm location
In order to get your hands on the Rubber Helm, you will have to trek to Sarjon Cave, which is in east Faron. The easiest way to get there is fast travelling to the Lakeside Stable if you’ve already been there and heading northwest.
The cave entrance is blocked off by a curtain of vines, which you will find the whole way through the cave. There will be some Horriblins that you will have to deal with.
Once you get deeper into the cave, you will want to build a raft to be able to get through, as you won’t be able to make it through, even with a significant amount of stamina. The rapids will eventually transition into a waterfall, and there will be a path that takes you to the chamber where you can collect your Rubber Armor Helm.
Rubber Armoor – Tights location
Next, is the Rubber Armour Tights. Go to the cave in Horon Lagoon, east of the Lanyru Reservoir – which you can go from either the Apogek Shrine or the Yomizuk Shrine. Equally, you can fly from the Upland Zorana Skyview Tower and glide to the east.
Once in the cave, you will need to do a lot of swimming, so make sure you have Stamina Recovery elixirs or meals on hand in order to navigate the cave.
As you make your way through to the end of the cave, there will be a chamber with the chest in it. There you will be able to get your hands on the Rubber Armor Tights.
That’s all you need to know about getting the Rubber Armour in Tears of the Kingdom.
