Buying a house in FFXIV differs from most MMOs, where you simply select housing and purchase it in exchange for the in-game currency. In FFXIV, getting a house is as difficult as in real life.
There is a myriad of prerequisites that you must complete to be eligible to purchase a house in the game, and then you must buy land, which is hard to come by, a construction permit, and eventually build an estate.
Keep reading our guide to learn everything you need to know about buying a house in FFXIV, may it be for personal use or for your Free Company.
