How To Break Big Rocks In Harvestella
In Harvestella, you can break the big rocks found around your farm by upgrading your Hammer. You can do that by unlocking Shirii, the Great Earth Faerie, by completing the story Chapter 3C and completing six tasks for him.

After you finish Chapter 2 – Omen, you will reach Chapter 3, with three sub Chapters 3A, 3B, and 3C. There is no order to complete the said Chapters, and you can proceed as you wish.
If you are confident enough with your combat skill and have your weapon upgraded and a few meals prepared for battle, you can directly tackle Chapter 3C before completing 3A and 3B to unlock Shirii fast. Once you have him on your farm at the Bird’s Eye Brae, you take specific tasks from him, ranging from farming certain crops to building specific structures to unlock the Hammer upgrade finally.

Since the tasks are retroactive, you may have already completed one or two of his tasks before unlocking him at the Bird’s Eye Brae. To turn-in the tasks, head inside your house and interact with the glowing book.
Once you are done with any six tasks from the Shirii, you will get the Hammer upgrade. Next, go to the field, select the Hammer and start hitting the big rocks by holding the action button. Doing so will break the big rocks and finally give you more space for farming activities.
